NORTHEASTERNSAILING​

The Huskies traveled to 4 different regattas this weekend in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Emily Wick Trophy @ CGA

Huskies Victoria Pajak ('21), Coleen Ross ('20), Bridget Maguire ('22), Sandra Nygren ('20), Carolyn Corbet ('21), Kelley Phippen ('22), and Morgan TerMaat ('23) traveled to the Coast Guard Academy for a solid weekend of racing. Sailors had to wait for wind to fill in before racing Saturday, but following that 6 races were completed for each division. Sunday brought better conditions, with another 8 races being completed for each division.

Admiral Alymers Trophy @ Salve

Northeastern Sailing also competed at Salve Regina this weekend in a combined division regatta which completed 20 races. Huskies A division finished in 10th in combined divisions, with Huskies B division right behind them in 11th place. Sailors Donal Ryan ('19), Jack Denker ('22), Carter Brock ('22), and Ellie Reagan ('19) finished 6th overall in the regatta.

Mystic Lake Team Race @ Tufts

This weekend, sailors Caleb Niles ('22), Becker Ewing ('21), Zach Bresnick ('21), Sarah Pierce ('21), Peter Morrissette ('22), and Rob Brower ('23) competed on Mystic Lake against 8 other teams. The wind was light and variable, making boat handling more important than ever. A full round robin was completed as well as round robins for the top 4 and bottom 5 teams. Northeastern won against MIT in both rounds.

Southern 5 @ URI

The Huskies sailed another combined division regatta this weekend at URI, where the decent wind conditions allowed 15 races to be sailed. B division Adrian van der Wal ('22) and Elizabeth Lonergan ('22) finished 3rd in combined divisions, and A division Santiago Hirschmann ('23) and Liz Silva ('20) finished 4th. Overall the huskies had a great performance, finishing 2nd overall in the regatta.
