April 2-3, 2016
This was the first full weekend back into fleet racing, with teams sailing the BU Trophy, the Central 3 regatta at Harvard, and the Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy at Brown. Both of the events in Boston, however, were cut short to only the first day due to weather.
Peter Christiansen, Linnea Goldstein, Carter Rose, and Annie Wieland sailed the BU Trophy this weekend. The conditions were typical of the Charels, with intermittent breeze and frequent shifts, but we were able to get a full day of racing in anticipation of the cancelation the following day. The Huskies were able to finish in the middle of a very close fleet.
Central 3 was sailed by Chris Colbeth, Coleen Ross, James Maguire, and Rachel Guard. Just down the river form Boston University, the conditions were relatively the same.
Sailing in Brown this weekend was Sarah de Silva, Tori McGruer, Laura Tschiegg, Jackie Berlin, Elise Gehling, Sofia Kirkman, and Caitlin Cloonan. They had tough weekend of weather, with very little wind on the first day and gusts in the mid-20's on the second, but were able to finish five races dispite the problematic conditions.
