Aside from Northeastern's strong academics, co-op program, and location in Boston, on our team you will find many opportunities to compete at the highest level and make a difference from the beginning of your freshman year. We are a large team that has been on the rise over the last decade, improving in the NEISA standings every year. The 2021 - 2022 season has been a landmark season for us, as we saw our first ever nationals appearance, qualifying 29th seed in the Women's fleet racing division. Our coach, Jonathan Farrar, has continued to make a powerful impact at Northeastern and is quickly accelerating our team's progression.

WHY NORTHEASTERN SAILING?

RECRUITMENT

During the months of September and February, we hold recruitment meetings to field general interest and give information about the team before each season officially starts. The meeting is followed by a tryout, where students will practice with us for a day. We recommend that you have at least some racing experience to tryout for our team.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

If you are hoping to attend and sail for Northeastern, you can meet with one of our teammates on campus, meet us at a regatta on the weekend, or drop in on a practice to learn more about our team. To get in contact with our head of recruitment, please fill out our prospective athlete form.

Come to one of our recruitment meetings at the beginning of each season (early September and mid February) and fill out our prospective athlete form so we can keep in touch going into the recruitment season. We'll contact you about the meetings as the fall and spring seasons get closer, so keep checking your email and fill out the form to be included on our contact list.
