Northeatern sailors competed at three venues over the weekend and encountered rough conditions at each.

 

The Huskies raced stiff competition at the Nevins Trophy at Kings Point. On Saturday ten races were held in fresh breeze that built to over 20 kts while Sunday saw one race in less than 5 kts. Scott Goodrich and Taylor Williams scored 18th in A-division, with Evan Gregory switching in as heavy crew. Elise Gehling skippered B-divison and finished 16th with Jackie Berlin and Maddie Whittier switching off as crew. Jackson Hamilton and Peter Christensen scored 15th amongst a tough lazer fleet. The Huskies finished up 17th overall.

 

Northeastern traveled to the University of Vermont to compete in the Lake Champlain Open. Saturday was gusting over 35 kts and with one in four boat over at any one time, the fleet was snet in. On Sunday, John Wehner and Katie Alfond sailed A-fleet and finished 12th. Tori McGruer and Liz Sczerzenenie  were in B-divison and scored 11th for a 12th place finish overall. 

 

Conditons were variable at the Boston Harbor Invite hosted by Boston College. Camille Matile finished 9th in A-division with Laura Tschiegg crewing on Saturday and Sam Calvaresi crewing on Sunday. Myles Everett and Abby Duclos sailed B-division, finishing 11th for an 9th place finsih overall. 

 

The Huskies also finished 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th of 20 at MIT's Midweek Fly Regatta
