September 15-16, 2012

Northeastern headed up to Vermont for the Lake Champlain Open, with Maarten Eenkema van Dijk and Linnea Goldstein sailing A division and Conor Lodge and Kristen Kuzil in 'B.' After working for 6th place on Saturday, variable conditions on Sunday led to a few deep finishes that dropped the team in the standings. Lodge and Kuzil led the team with a 6th place finish in B division, which lifted the Huskies to a 9th out of 18 teams overall.



At Dartmouth, the women's team competed in its first intersectional of the season, the Mrs. Hurst BowlTasha Greenwood and Janelle Veary sailed A division, with Heidi Hood and Estella Lofftus in B division. In a weekend full of tough competition, Hood and Lofftus lead the charge finishing 18th of 22 in their division. Although the Huskies were 21st overall, they were not far from the next 3 teams ahead of them and they hope to catch up during the rest of the season.



At BC, Scott Goodrich and Taylor Williams sailed in A division, with Colin Henderson and Estelle Beguin in B division at the Boston Harbor Invitational.  Both skippers were still shaking out the rust in their first dinghy regatta of the season, but they finished 10th of 18 overall

At the Middlebury Cup, Northeastern debuted its two newest skippers - freshmen Elise Gehling and Jesse ThomasBecker Awqatty and Zach Shapiro crewed for them in A and B divisions respectively. Gehling finished 4th and Thomas 2nd for an overall 2nd place of 6 teams.
