Week 1: September 9-10
We started off our season in full force with 5 regattas in 4 different states!

Penobscot Bay Regatta @ Maine Maritime
Huskies Jackson Hamilton, Jackie Berlin, Chris Colbeth and Sandra Nygren sailed in light, shifty conditions up at Maine Maritime. Races were called due to lightning on Saturday, but the Huskies finished strong on Sunday in 3rd place. Congrats to Chris and Sandra for getting third in B division!

Phil Harman Cup @ Maine Maritime
Along with the dinghy team we sent to Maine, we sent a few sailors to match race Colgate 26's at the Phil Harman Cup. Sailors Donal Ryan, John Hughes, Becker Ewing and skipper Kyle Riggs finished the day Saturday in first place, with bullets in 3/4 of the races! Sunday brought less luck to the team as they slipped into second place, but still this still qualified the Huskies for Match Race New England's for the first time ever- Congratulations and good luck to our keelboat team!

Toni Deutsch @ MIT
Our women's team of Camille Matile, Eleanor Grams, Sofia Kirkman and Julia Boll sailed in the first Women's Regatta of the season at MIT. In classic Charles River fashion, the conditions were light and shifty, but they still managed to get 15 races off the over the two days. Nice sailing through the challenging conditions, girls!

Henry Andersen @ Yale
Tough conditions at Yale for the first weekend of the year, but Greg Corsello, Marika van Dusen, Zach Bresnick and Katie Alfond gave it their all. A very competitive A level, this younger team learned a lot from the experience and improved with time! We're very proud, keep up the good work!
Mt. Hope Bay Invite @ RWU
The first day at Roger Williams, Erin Coyne, Ellie Reagan, Romain Astié and Coleen Ross sailed in more current than wind. Saturday's 3-7 knot northerly was just enough to get four races off, and the team got five more races in Sunday's 8-12 knot breeze. Great sailing, team!
